The MG4 has won several titles in the prestigious awards, highlighting the new model’s popularity.

The MG4 EV has been awarded the ‘Best Small Electric Car’ title in the 2023 What Car? awards. The prominent awards ceremony highlights the best cars currently available in the market.

The What Car? Judges commented on the win:

“Given the rising cost of living, and the fact that electric cars tend to be quite expensive to buy, the MG4 EV – with its very keen pricing – feel like the right car at the right time. And crucially, corners haven’t been cut to achieve that pricing.”

“In addition to undercutting rivals by thousands, the MG4 offers fast charging, plenty of space and lots of standard equipment. What’s more it’s good to drive and comes with the reassurance of a seven-year warranty.”

The British manufacturer has been praised for its high quality and affordability. Another winning MG vehicle was the MG5 EV, which was named ‘Best Electric’ in the Estate cars category.

The all-new EV was also named as ‘Car of the Year’ by the reviewers at Carwow. Chief Content Officer for Carwow Mat Watson, said:

“The MG4 is the best car I’ve driven all year. It looks great on the outside, MG has made huge strides with interior and infotainment quality and it’s a bargain compared with some electric vehicles from mainstream brands. It’s easily one of the best electric cars on sale right now.”

The success of MG4 EV was further enhanced when the model won ‘Best EV under £40,000’ in the prestigious Scottish Car of the Year Awards.

Jack McKeown, President of the ASMW, commented on the win:

“What delighted us about the MG4 is that it does the basics so well. It’s one of the cheapest electric cars in the UK but has a range of up to 281 miles.”

“It looks good and drives nicely as well. The MG4 is proof that EVs can be cheap to buy and own as well.”

MG Motor had a successful year in 2022, selling over 51,000 cars in the UK. This was an impressive 66.7% improvement from the previous year. The performance was clear especially within the last three months when approximately 3,000 cars of the award-winning EV were sold. The MG4 was the second most sold model between September and December.

The all-new fully electric estate, MG5 is also expected to be a desired model in 2023.

The new MG4 EV

The fully electric MG4 EV is the first model based on the new Modular Scalable Platform (MSP). This hatchback offers two battery options and has an impressive range of up to 281 miles with zero emissions.

It scored the maximum five-star rating in the Euro NCAP safety testing. The MG Pilot driver assistance systems increase the safety and practicality of every ride with features such as a 360-degree Parking Camera.

Keeping connected to the outside world is easy with the 10.25” touchscreen, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Viewing navigation and controlling entertainment is simple.

The stylish hatchback is available in six colours, making a distinctive impression. The aerodynamic exterior design has been perfected with a two-tone black roof as well as Twin Aero Rear Spoiler. The Active Grille System regulates airflow to achieve improved battery range.
